High School Counselor Marketing is in compliance with GDPR, FERPA, SOPIPA, and all other known regulations governing the privacy and security of counselor data in the states and countries where we do business.  We at no time collect or distribute high school student information or emails.

  1. Acceptance of Terms of Use

Your access to and use of High School Counselor Marketing (“Data”) is subject exclusively to these Terms and Conditions. You will not use the “Data” for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. By using the “Data”, you are fully accepting the terms, conditions and disclaimers contained in this notice. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions you must immediately stop using the “Data”.

  1. Registration and Opting In
    All “Data” of High School Counselor Marketing was collected first hand and only contains public information. Any personal email information included was provided to High School Counselor Marketing with permission of counselor to include in the High School Counselor Marketing Database. Any counselor request to have their public or private information deleted from the High School Counselor Marketing Database has been granted.

2a. High School Counselor Marketing Database information will only be provided exclusively to colleges and/or universities as well as vetted vendors, businesses and non-profit organizations that offer products or services to aid in a Counselors job facilitation.

  1. Data Security

3a. High School Counselor Marketing treats all data with the same high-value level of security as financial data. As such, we use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a standard security technology protocol that enables sensitive information (such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, and login credentials) to be transmitted securely by establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client, typically a web server (website) and a browser. To provide easy, visible assurance of this encryption, a padlock icon is included in every registration URL.

3b. High School Counselor Marketing monitors all emails sent by any client to ensure that the content is within standards of a high school environment.  High School Counselor Marketing reserves the right to rescind the lease of any client that violates said standards

3c. In the unlikely event of a data breach, High School Counselor Marketing will notify all counselors in our database as well as use all legal means available to resolve the issue.

  1. Data Erasure and the Right to Be Forgotten

4a. High School Counselors retain the right to request, at any time, that High School Counselor Marketing erase their data from our system. To make this request, please email: production@highschoolcounselormarketing.com and use the subject line “Data Erasure.” Then include following language: “As of [Date], I, [Full Name], registered under [Email Used for Registration], hereby request that High School Counselor Marketing expunge my information from their system.” Please be aware that issuing this request and having your data erased from our system will result in colleges/universities being unable to access your data to contact you in the future.

4c. Counselor maintains possession and control of their own profile content. On the ‘update account’ page that is emailed quarterly, counselor may do any/all of the following: 1. Change or delete any previously reported data. 2. Download a complete profile with all data that has been previously submitted.

The contents of High School Counselor Marketing do not constitute advice and should not be relied upon in making or refraining from making any decision.

  1. Change of Use
    High School Counselor Marketing reserves the right to:

6a. change or remove (temporarily or permanently) the Website or any part of it without notice, and you confirm that High School Counselor Marketing shall not be liable to you for any such change or removal, and

6b. change these Terms and Conditions at any time, and your continued use of the Website following any changes shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change.
